Kakadu NT
Kakadu-Litchfield National Parks &
Katherine, Northern Territory
NEW DATES FOR 2021
25 May – 2 June
Spend quality time in the beautiful Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, visiting and sketching waterfalls, billabongs, gorges and thermal springs with individual tuition and guidance, with well-known and popular artist, Leonie Norton.
Litchfield National park covers 1,500 square kilometres and there are so many places we visit and things to see, it is an unforgettable experience.
Katherine is a town where the outback meets the tropics. We will discover a region full of gorges, misty waterfalls and ancient cultures. We cruise through the towering rock walls of Katherine Gorge, where the reds of the soil and orange of the sunsets will leave you with a lasting impression of the Territory’s beauty and diversity.
Kakudu National Park covers an amazing 20,000 square kilometres, and is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, in recognition of its outstanding natural values and as a living cultural landscape. Aboriginal people have inhabited Kakadu continuously for more than 65,000 years, tracing back in time to before the last ice age. Kakadu’s complex ecosystem provides habitats for a wide range of plant and animal secies. About one third of Australia’s bird species are found in the park.
